Video - Jax Healers Thinkshop Recap: Community, Collaboration, & Core Values

In October, I had the opportunity to attend a Jax Healers Thinkshop that truly reminded me why community matters in healing work. The Thinkshop brought together clinicians and healers from across Jacksonville for intentional connection, skill-sharing, and real conversations about what is actually working in the therapy room.

The event was hosted by Brittany Ellis, founder of 2BeWell Therapy. Brittany is a Black millennial RMHCI therapist who specializes in anxiety, and she created a space that felt grounded, affirming, and collaborative from the moment we arrived.

This Thinkshop gathered ten local clinicians to exchange modalities, interventions, and the small but powerful shifts that help clients experience meaningful change. It was not about competition or posturing. It was about honesty, curiosity, and collective growth. We learned from one another, swapped stories, and were reminded that professional development does not have to be isolating.

One of the most exciting outcomes of this gathering is the launch of Jax Healers, a new community Brittany has created to keep this momentum going. The vision includes case consultation circles, CEU-eligible workshops, creative experiences, and even a future mini-retreat designed specifically for healers. If you are a clinician or healer in the Jacksonville area, I highly encourage you to join the community here:

If you were unable to attend, you can still get a feel for the energy and intention behind the Thinkshop by watching Brittanyโ€™s recap video on her YouTube channel:

During the Thinkshop, I also had the opportunity to share one of my own offerings from More Life Wellness, LLC: the Core Values Workbook. This resource is designed to help individuals slow down, identify what truly matters to them, and make decisions that are aligned with their values rather than fear, obligation, or burnout. If you are not a healer but are curious about the work I brought into the room, you can learn more or purchase the workbook here:

This Thinkshop was a powerful reminder that growth happens in community. When healers come together with openness and intention, everyone benefits, including the clients we serve.

If you are a healer reading this, consider this your invitation. And if you are not, know that spaces like these are shaping the care you receive behind the scenes.

Collaboration truly does help us all thrive!
