Happy New Year - Cheers to More Life!

A new year always brings with it a quiet invitation: to pause, to reflect, and to intentionally decide what we want to carry forward and what we are ready to reclaim.

As we step into this new season, my word for the year is Reclamation.

Reclamation, to me, is about calling pieces of ourselves back home. It’s about restoring what may have been lost, neglected, delayed, or deprioritized in the midst of survival, responsibility, or transition. It’s about reclaiming our time, our voices, our emotional well-being, our creativity, and our capacity to care for ourselves with intention and grace.

A Year of Growth, Change, and Becoming

2025 was deeply formative for me, both personally and professionally. I welcomed a baby girl into the world, expanding our family and my understanding of love, capacity, and vulnerability. My partner and I also celebrated our wedding reception, a meaningful milestone that marked not just a commitment to one another, but to the life we continue to build together.

Alongside motherhood and marriage, I continued to nurture my creative and community-centered work through therapy, event planning, and wellness spaces designed to bring people together in meaningful ways. This past year reminded me that growth doesn’t happen in isolation; it happens in community, in reflection, and often in seasons of stretching.

More Life Wellness Is Growing!

I’m excited to share that More Life Wellness is officially expanding into a group practice. This growth allows us to extend care in more accessible ways while maintaining the heart, integrity, and intentionality that define our work.

As part of this expansion, I’m honored to introduce the clinicians who are helping bring this vision to life:

  • Cyniya Haynes, Marriage & Family Therapy Intern, offers free therapy services focused on general mental health maintenance. These sessions are designed for individuals seeking support around everyday stress, emotional regulation, life balance, and ongoing wellness—not crisis care, but steady, supportive check-ins.

  • Dominique Henderson, Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern, provides therapy for individuals navigating anxiety, depression, major life transitions, and personal growth.

I, Khalliah G. Bryant, MS, LMFT-QS, continue to offer therapy services while also serving as the clinical supervisor for our growing team. Together, we are committed to providing thoughtful, ethical, and accessible mental health care.

Therapy as Reclamation

One of the biggest myths about therapy is that it’s only for moments of crisis. In reality, therapy can be a powerful space for maintenance, reflection, and recalibration. Sometimes reclamation looks like checking in before burnout hits. Sometimes it looks like naming patterns you’re ready to release. Sometimes it’s simply giving yourself permission to be supported.

Book a check-in Session

As the year begins, I invite you to consider a New Year check-in whether you’re continuing deeper work or just needing space to reset and realign.

Looking Ahead

This year, my hope, both for myself and for this community, is that we all find ways to reclaim what truly matters. To move with intention. To ask for support sooner. To honor both our growth and our humanity. Thank you for being a part of the More Life Wellness journey. Whether you’ve been here for years or are just finding your way back. I’m deeply grateful for the trust, connection, and care we continue to build together.

Here’s to reclamation, renewal, and more life in the year ahead.
