Therapy Matchmaking: Part 2 Recap!
Watch the Recap Reel!
On Saturday, October 3, the Emerald Station Community Lounge became a place where Jacksonville’s healing community gathered in one room. People arrived with a mix of curiosity, nerves, and hope. Many of them had been thinking about therapy for months. Some had never spoken to a therapist before.
By the end of the afternoon, dozens of guests had met with more than 15 therapists, psychiatrists, and healers. The conversations were warm and unhurried, and they felt like the beginning of something.
The day went on with a clinician panel, and the attendees set the tone. They asked thoughtful, honest questions about what therapy looks like and how to find a good fit. The clinicians answered with openness and plain language. People who walked in unsure of what to ask quickly found the words, because someone else in the room had already said them out loud.
After the panel, guests moved through the space and met clinicians face to face. This is the part that makes Therapy Matchmaking different. Attendees skipped the endless online searching and the back and forth of booking consultations. They sat across from real people, felt the conversation, and learned who felt right for them. Many left with a clear idea of who they wanted to call first.
